Mac and Anita Baca celebrate golden wedding anniversary
Mac and Anita Baca, of Belen, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 16. The couple was married in 1974 in Belen.
Mac, a Belen High School graduate, is retired from the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District, and was part owner and operator of Baca Auto Co. He enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, and is a crossing guard at Canon Christian Academy.
Anita is retired from First Choice Healthcare. She has an associate degree in general studies from the University of New Mexico-Valencia campus. She also enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and Bible study.
The Bacas are members of Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley in Belen.
Their children are son, Roberto and his wife, Chrystal Baca, of Belen, and their children, Audrianna and Ava; and daughter, Angelica and Eloy Urtiaga, of Los Lunas, and their children, Eloy and Ethan.
The couple will celebrate their anniversary with their family and friends at a gathering and trip to Tempe, Ariz.
“We love our children and grandkids,” the couple said. “They are the center of our lives, along with the Lord Jesus. We go to all the grandkids’ events, such as dance recitals and cross country meets.”
