Body of missing Belen man found

The body of a Belen man who has been missing since late July has been found.

The New Mexico State Police issued a missing endangered advisory for Kenneth Bolagh, 26, after he was last seen at his home on South Third Street in Belen early in the morning hours of Wednesday, July 28.

At about 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 13, Bolagh’s 2006 black Dodge Charger was found on the Isleta Pueblo near the Rio Puerco by members of the Isleta Police Department Open Space Division.

“A deceased body was located several hundred yards from the vehicle in the county of Bernalillo,” said NMSP public information officer Officer Ray Wilson in an email Thursday afternoon. “Due to the condition of the body, it was unidentifiable. The body was sent to the Officer of the Medical Investigator for identification.”

OMI positively identified the body as Bolagh on Wednesday, Aug. 18, Wilson said in the email, and Bolagh’s unattended death is not currently being investigated as a homicide.

“Agents are working closely with OMI, who will determine the cause and manner of death,” he wrote.

The case remains under investigation by the NMSP investigations bureau.
