U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Interstate Stream Commission and Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District

Agenda highlight: A river maintenance project in the Los Lunas subreach of the Rio Grande between River Miles 164 and 162 is being planned. The project is about two miles north of the N.M. 6 bridge. The purpose of the project is to improve water conveyance through the Los Lunas subreach by lowering five vegetated sandbars within the previously-open river channel, thereby increasing the width of the river both on the west and east banks. For this project, the Bureau of Reclamation will host a public meeting to announce and answer questions about the proposed action

Los Lunas Planning and Zoning Commission
