Los Lunas establishes hours for village recycling center
To comply with New Mexico Solid Waste Bureau requirement to have a certified operator or representative present while the facility is in operation, the village of Los Lunas is establishing operating hours at its recycling center at 315 Don Pasqual Road.
Previously, the center was unmanned and open 24/7.
The new hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays. The center will be closed on holidays and hours may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
In regards to plastic recycling, the center only accepts #1 and #2 plastics, but there are separate bins for #3 and #7, so customers need to be prepared to separate their plastics. The center does not accept plastic bags.
