Los Lunas wins audit award
The village of Los Lunas received the Best Overall Audit by a Large Municipality award on Feb. 8 by New Mexico Auditor Joseph M. Maestas.
While Maestas has recognized counties previously through this award, this is the first year municipalities are being honored. Village of Los Lunas finance director Cheryl Cates accepted the award on behalf of the village, as village Deputy Administrator Erin Callahan said they wanted to recognize Cates for her excellent work. The village has had no audit findings for the past three years.
