Nominees sought for directors of the Valencia County Arroyo Flood Control District
Valencia County is looking for residents who are interested in serving on the newly established Flood Control Authority Board, which was recently approved by voters.
Persons interested in serving as one of the five initial directors of the Valencia County Arroyo Flood Control District, established by the voters at the 2024 General Election, may submit their names for appointment by the District Court. Interested persons are required to submit:
• A petition nominating the interested person signed by not less five qualified electors;
• A letter of interest and;
• A resume
Nomination packets must be received by the County of Valencia no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10, at the County Manager’s Office: County of Valencia, 444 Luna Ave., P.O. Box 1119, Los Lunas NM, 87031, or lichelle.armstrong@co.valencia.nm.us.
The District Court will appoint five initial directors, who shall serve until the next local election, at which election their successors shall be chosen.
