Passion Play troupe
The Companions of Jesus of NM, Valencia County volunteers invite all to join the troupe to “Bring Scripture to Life” by participating in this year’s Passion Play, “Death of the Messiah.” They need both men and women of all ages and talents. They seek those interested in acting, stage assistance, costumes and technical activities. Spring semester bus service to UNM-Valencia Campus
Rio Metro is offering free bus service to the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus for the spring semester. The Route 209 bus will run Monday through Thursday between the Los Lunas Rail Runner Station and the UNM-Valencia campus from Jan. 20 to May 14, 2026. This special spring schedule offers staff and students a convenient way to get to campus.
Vaccine clinic
The Belen Public Health Office, 617 Becker Ave., will hold a vaccine clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29. The vaccine being offered at no out of pocket cost. Adult vaccine (limited availability; please call to see what is available). All the recommended vaccines for children ( ages 0-18 months ) is always available at no out-of-pocket cost, but appointments are recommended. Call 505-864-7743 to schedule an appointment.
Health and Wellness Expo in Los Lunas
A Health and Wellness Expo will be held from 3-5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, at UNM-Valencia Campus, 1020 Huning Ranch E. Loop SW, Los Lunas. Explore health screenings, learn from nutrition and mental health experts and engage with local vendors and interactive activities for all ages.
Drug disposal
A drug disposal pouch demo and distribution will be held at 11:20 a.m., Friday, Jan. 30, at the Bosque Farms Community Center.
Veterans outreach event in Bosque Farms
The Veterans Health Administration will hold a outreach event from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Bosque Farms Community Center, 950 N. Bosque Loop.
Open mic night
An Open Mic Night, sponsored by PopUpShow, will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6, at the Belen Public Library, 333 Becker Ave., Belen.
Soup-R Bowl
Tomé Art Gallery is holding its annual Soup R Bowl event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, at the UNM-Valencia campus Student Community Center. Bowls will be on sale at the Tome’ Art Gallery, 2930 N.M. 47, and at the UNM-Valencia Bookstore. Bowls, including soup, bread and dessert, cost $20.

The Belen Public Library, 333 Becker Ave., is offering free computer assistance from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. Visit the circulation desk to book a free 30-minute appointment for help with your computer or smart phone.
N.M. Special Orchestra
The Valencia County chapter of the New Mexico Special Orchestra performs on the second Friday of each month from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Belen Public Library, 333 Becker Ave. in Belen.
Read to the dogs
Come read to the dogs at the Bosque Farms Public Library, 1455 W. Bosque Loop, at 3:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday and every Thursday of the month. All ages welcome.
