Valencia County News-Bulletin to change its website

Beginning next week, on Monday, June 17, Valencia County News-Bulletin readers will see a new look to the newspaper’s website.

The News-Bulletin is transitioning to the BLOX Digital — formerly TownNews — platform, a change that will allow the community newspaper to offer readers a better reading experience overall, and highlight additional content, such as photo galleries.

TownNews, which rebranded as BLOX Digital in February 2023, was founded in 1989 to help newspapers adapt to developing online technology. With that background, BLOX is a solid platform for the VCNB, a publication which started in 1910.

“We’re excited to transition to this new platform,” said VCNB editor and publisher Clara Garcia. “We’ve used this company before and believe this new platform complements our work and photography, as well as gives our readers a better way to view their local news.”

While the News-Bulletin looks forward to the new system and anticipates it being a boon to not only our operations but to the community, there are bound to be minor hiccups at launch.
