Bosque Farms boxer Katherine Lindenmuth is vehemently disputing allegations that she failed a post-fight drug test last weekend after winning the WBA Gold flyweight championship in Egypt, a fight that has since been declared no contest.

In fact, Lindenmuth said that following a chaotic scene after being declared the winner, “Nobody came up to me to provide a doping test. Nobody provided me a doctor to check on me,”

In the aftermath of her split-decision victory over Kazakhstan’s Angelina Lukas, Lindenmuth was stripped of her title, at least temporarily. However, Lindenmuth and Anthony Rosales, her trainer, have taken steps challenging the accusation.

“I’m a clean fighter, always have been a clean fighter. I’m all about that,” Lindenmuth said Tuesday in a phone interview.

Lindenmuth describes the frenzy that followed in the ring after her upset victory was announced.

“We were ushered out of the ring because they (the Lukas camp) were causing a big stir. It got really hostile, really quick.”

In the locker room area, Lindenmuth said she waited to no avail for about 15 minutes to take a drug test. That’s when the situation became hostile again, so to escape the commotion, “We were pushed out the door,” of the arena to get away. “We were very scared.”

Lindenmuth said no one came to the hotel either to provide a test. When she arrived in Albuquerque, she went immediately to get a “formal doping test” under the supervision of the New Mexico Athletic Commission with results pending at press time.

In the meantime, Lindenmuth said she’s been the target of a “smear” on social media. “I have my back covered. I definitely don’t dope. I have a test to back that up.”

Officially, for now, Lindenmuth carries a professional record of 7-5, with one no contest. Lukas is 15-1, with one no contest.
