Batter up: Collegiate softball returns this weekend

LOS LUNAS — The third annual South Central Region Softball Tournament runs Friday through Sunday, Jan. 30-Feb. 1, at Los Lunas Sports Complex and Daniel Fernandez Park.

Western New Mexico University, the host school, is joined by UT Permian Basin, Sul Ross State, West Texas A&M, SW Oklahoma State, Adams State, New Mexico Highlands and UC Colorado Springs.

The first games begin at 10 a.m. each day. All match ups are set in advance unlike a bracket-style tournament.

Admission is $10 per day, with a $20 all-tournament pass available. Children 10 years old and younger are free. Parking is also free.
