Belen wrestler earns All-American honors at “Freak Show”
Belen High School wrestler Ely Gutierrez was recently named an All-American after finishing fourth at the Freak Show Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev.
Gutierrez, a senior and defending New Mexico high school champion, wrestled at 150 pounds in Las Vegas.
“It’s my favorite tournament,” Gutierrez said, referring to the Freak Show. “The energy and the vibe brings out the best in me.”
