Add the Brigham Young University Cougars to the list of college men’s basketball programs offering Los Lunas guard Jalin Holland a scholarship. The offer came over the weekend from new Cougars coach Kevin Young.

Meanwhile, University of Colorado coach Tad Boyle visited Thursday with Holland on the LLHS campus. NCAA rules prevent coaches from commenting on potential signees but in an interview, Boyle told News-Bulletin what he looks for in recruits. “We have three core values at Colorado,” Boyle said. “We’re looking for trustworthy players, on and off the floor. We’re looking for high character young men–And we’re looking for hard working young men–beyond that we’re looking for guys who can pass the ball, dribble the ball and shoot the ball.”
