Two Valencia County football players have been selected to take part in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl Dec. 12 in Arlington, Texas.
Nicholas “Niko” Torres, of Los Lunas High School, and Adriano Ortiz, of Valencia High School, both seniors, will suit up for the west squad at the home of the Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium.
The two were chosen after taking part in a player combine sponsored by game officials. Each will play defensive back in the Blue-Grey game.
Torres was a receiver and safety for the Tigers, while Ortiz played the same positions for the Jaguars.
