Eagles’ Spragg selected District Coach of the Year

Victoria Spragg, of Belen High School, was named the District 5-4A Volleyball Coach of the Year, as selected by district coaches.
The Eagles finished 9-13 overall, an increase of seven victories.
According to Steve Contreras, Belen Consolidated Schools athletic coordinator, the honor was “very well deserved as the team showed great improvement from last year to this year and throughout the season.”
Spragg, a former standout volleyball player at BHS and the University of New Mexico, just completed her second season as Eagles’ head coach.
