Ortiz signs to play football at the University of St. Mary
Valencia High School senior Adriano Ortiz has signed a letter of intent to play football at the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, Kan.
Ortiz, who will play safety at the NAIA school, connected with the Spires coach on Twitter.
“We started talking and we went to visit — it’s really awesome,” Ortiz said. “I think I’m ready to spread my wings a little bit.” Ortiz will study business with hopes of someday running his own construction and real estate company.
