Barcelona Guitar Quartet plays
The Barcelona Guitar Quartet will bring its magical sound and technical mastery to Popejoy Hall at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5. The quartet will perform works by Granados, Albéniz and de Falla.
The quartet was created in 1983, continuing a Spanish tradition of combining like instruments in pairs and quartets to play arrangements of popular music and original works. The tradition began with mandolins, continued with lutes and is carried on nowadays with guitars.
