The 919th MP Co. New Mexico Army National Guard and the city of Belen hosted the Santa’s Stampede 5K run, walk, double time, below, on Sunday, Dec. 4. About 100 runners and walkers entered the race, which started at the Belen Community Center. Dominic Quintana, a sophomore at Albuquerque High School, won the race with a time of 17:27. Pat and Denise Contreras and their daughter, DamiAna Kerns, dressed up in holiday attire for the run.
