What’s new in the rock world?

What other bands will be including New Mexico in their summer tour plans? Quite a few. Here’s a few of the Clear Channel concerts that are being scheduled:

• Wednesday, May 15, Usher appears with special guests Nas, Faith Evans and Mr. Cheeks. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Journal Pavilion. Tickets are $53.50, $43.50 and $28.50 through Ticketmaster and are on sale now.

• Scorpions with Deep Purple and Ronnie James Dio will be at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, at the Journal Pavilion. Tickets are $42.94, $32.94 and $19.94.

• Blues singer Bonnie Raitt will be at the Paolo Soleri Amphitheater in Santa Fe at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8. Tickets are $45 and $32 and are available from Ticketmaster.

• Former Van Halen lead singers Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth team up for a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at the Journal Pavilion. Tickets are $58, $40.50 and $26.50 and are available at Ticketmaster.

• Bruce Hornsby will be at the Paolo Soleri on Sunday, July 14. Details weren’t available as of News-Bulletin press time.

• Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Lou Christie, Blood Sweat & Tears with David Clayton-Thomas, Felix Cavliere’s Rascals and The Association will perform at the Journal Pavilion on Sunday, Aug. 18. Ticket prices and dates on which they will be available haven’t been released.

• Lenny Kravitz will appear with Pink on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the Journal Pavilion. Ticket prices and information is not yet available.

• Rush will sing at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Journal Pavilion. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at $68, $48 and $28 from Ticketmaster.

• The Gipsy Kings will play on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Journal Pavilion. No ticket prices have been announced.
