Carabajals honored on 50th anniversary
Los Lunas
The golden wedding anniversary of Ida and Amarante Carabajal of Los Lunas was celebrated with a family dinner at a local restaurant.
The couple were married 50 years ago in May, 1952, in Belen.
Amarante was an electronic technician at Sandia Labs and attended National Tech School in Los Angeles. He enjoys watching sports and taking care of household activities.
Ida was a teacher’s aide for the Los Lunas Public Schools. A graduate of Belen High School, she enjoys sewing and other household activities.
They’re members of the Tomé Catholic Church.
The couple have eight children, Beatrice, Anthony, angela, Patty, Vincent, Gene, Carl and James. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
