Castañedas celebrate 50 years together

Carlos A. and Emma Castañeda of Jarales celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Rio Grande Yacht Club in Albuquerque.

The couple was married on Aug. 18, 1952, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tomé.

Carlos is retired from Wall Colmonay Corp. and Emma is retired from the Belen Senior Citizens.

They are members of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.

The Castañedas have two daughters, Maria Castañeda-Moya and husband, Leo, of Albuquerque and Lydia Medina and husband, David, of Jarales. They have two grandsons, John Medina, 19, and Carlos Medina, 12.

The couple is planning a family trip next year to continue the celebration.
