Contreras’ celebrate golden wedding anniversary

Nago and Annabelle Contreras will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Jan. 25.

The couple, who were high school sweethearts, was married on Jan. 25, 1969, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.

Nago graduated in 1967, and Annabelle graduated in 1969, both from Belen High School.

Their children include sons, Steve Contreras, who is married to Melissa, and Adan; and daughters, Stephanie, who is married to Tim Hargrove, of Las Cruces; and Sharon, who is married to Michael Sanchez. They have two children, Anna-Leigh, 10, and Zander, 8.

The Contreras’ have done a lot of traveling, and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren. They like to also go camping and to the casino.

They will be celebrating their anniversary with family and friends.
