Garcias celebrating their silver anniversary

Donald and Irene Garcia of Belen celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Aug. 6. That was the date on which they were married in 1977 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.

They are active members of Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley.

They have two children, Aaron, 19, and Rachel, 15.

Donald is a foreman with Bob Davis Masonry in Albuquerque, and Irene is a stay-at-home mom who has homeschooled her children for 11 years.

The Garcias were high school sweethearts.

They will take a second honeymoon in the fall to New England.
