Hicks’ 25th anniversary celebrated on Aug. 19

Jim and Suzie Hicks of Los Chavez will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Aug. 19.

They met when Suzie moved from Albuquerque to Bosque Farms in 1976.

Jim has been employed with the Central New Mexico Correction Facility since 1983. Suzie graduated in 1995 from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She enjoys working with and assisting people with disabilities.

The couple have one daughter, Rachel Dawn Hicks.

Jim’s main hobbies are fishing and camping. They both enjoy the mountains, ATV riding, traveling, football games and spending time with friends.

They thanked their daughter, Rachel, and friends for the surprise party given to them on Aug. 10. “It was very special sharing an important time in our lives with them,” they wrote.
