Kaneshiros celebrate 50th anniversary

Herman and Debby Kaneshiro, of Belen, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 12. The couple was married in 1969 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.

Herman is retired from the New Mexico Army National Guard. He graduated from Belen High School and from New Mexico Highlands University.

He enjoys golfing, spending time with their grandchildren and going to the casino.

Debby is retired from Belen Consolidated Schools, and graduated from Belen High School.

She enjoys driving her husband in the golf cart, spending time with their grandchildren and going to the casino.

Their children are the late Kevin Kaneshiro, Kolby Kaneshiro, of Belen, Kristy Kaneshiro, and fiancé, Marty Cordova, of Los Lunas, and Kendra Kaneshiro, of Los Lunas.

They have eight grandchildren, Seanna, Mya, Filomeno, Damacio, Martin, Andrea, Esteban and Marcos.

The couple celebrated their anniversary surrounded by friends and family at a small celebration.
