Swansons celebrate golden anniversary

The golden wedding anniversary of Howard and Marilyn Swanson of Belen was celebrated at an open house and family dinner on April 13.

The couple was married on April 18, 1952, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Howard is retired from the construction and automotive repair industries and enjoys hunting, light gardening and pinochle.

Marilyn is retired and a member of Xi Alpha Epsilon. She enjoys quilting, sewing, bowling, antiques and pinochle.

They have one son, Lloyd Swanson, who lives in Belen and is employed by Sandia National Laboratories. They have one granddaughter, Judy Ramsey, who resides with her husband, Aaron, and children, Angel and Johnathan, in Fort Polk, La.
