Easter bunny
The Easter bunny will be making an appearance at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 1, at Anna Becker Park in Belen.
Tomé Hill pilgrimage
The Town of Tomé Land Grant, owner and caretaker of the Tomé Hill, will support Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and Archdiocese of Santa Fe Archbishop John Wester’s requests for people to limit gatherings on Easter weekend.
If pilgrims choose to climb Tomé Hill, they must understand and follow these rules and guidelines:
Pilgrims must continue to wear a mask; pilgrims must maintain a 6-foot distance from other pilgrims; no animals are allowed on the hill; all trash must be removed from the hill; there will be no emergency medical personnel on site; there will be no parking allowed along N.M. 47; climbing the hill will be at your own risk
Easter drive-thru
The Valencia County Fair Board is hosting an Easter egg basket drive-thru event from 12:30-2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 3, at the Posse Cafe, 10 1-25 Bypass in Belen.
The first 100 children, ages 0-12 years old, will receive a free Easter basket filled with eggs and goodies. Children need to be present to receive a basket, which were donated by Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley.
