Los Lunas Police seek public’s assistance in identifying an aggravated battery suspect

LOS LUNAS—The Los Lunas Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who committed an aggravated battery on a juvenile.

On Monday, Jan. 6, the victim reported being battered off of N.M. 314 in Los Lunas. Investigators are looking to identify the suspect and owner of the vehicle, a white Chevrolet SUV.

Video surveillance captured the victim riding his bicycle north on N.M. 314, when he was approached by an unidentified man who exited from the vehicle. The victim was abruptly struck in the face, causing temporary disfigurement.

The suspect vehicle fled the location, last seen traveling southbound on N.M. 314.

Anyone who may have information regarding the identity of the person involved in this incident, is encouraged to contact the Los Lunas Police Department at 839-5646. The identities of the person providing information related to this crime shall remain confidential if requested.
