Free online Teeniors classes
Teeniors is holding a free online class in Google Classroom: Understanding How it Works at 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18. A class on Instagram for Beginners is also being held at 4:30 p.m. For information email teeniors@gmail.com or call 505-600-1297.
Paint a Rock
The Los Lunas Museum of Heritage and Arts is asking local children to put their creative minds to work, creating some special holiday and seasonal art on rocks with paint or markers and other art supplies. Email a photo of the rock for a chance to have it posted on the museum’s Facebook page. For information, call 352-4420 or email Rebecca at Ortizr@loslunasnm.gov.
Student Juried Art Show
The Los Lunas Museum of Heritage and Arts has announced its eighth annual Student Art Exhibition with the theme, “Celebrations of New Mexico.” This program spotlights children in grades K-12 attending schools in the Valencia County area. This is free to all students. Awards will be given to top winners.
The guidelines can be picked up, requested to be mailed out or emailed. Call 352-7720 or email ortizr@loslunasnm.gov if interested in an application. The deadline to enter is March 26, 2021.
Support for veterans
The Blue Star Mothers of Valencia County are asking for support in sending encouraging Easter greetings to our veterans at the New Mexico State Veterans’ Home in Truth or Consequences.
Please send cards, letters or artwork (something flat that can be mailed in an envelope) to Blue Star Mothers of Valencia County, P.O. Box 743, Los Lunas, NM, 87031. BSMVC needs to have your submissions by Saturday, March 20.
