NM Rail Runner Express adds extra train during 57th legislative session

Skip the parking hassle and ride the New Mexico Rail Runner Express to 57th New Mexico legislative session this year.

Rio Metro Regional Transit District is adding an extra train to the schedule for this year’s legislative session, which convenes Jan. 21 and runs through March 22.

“This is a great option for those who want to spend some time at the Legislative Session, but don’t want to drive there and deal with finding parking”, said Robert Gonzalez, director of operations for Rio Metro.

The extra train will depart the Santa Fe County/599 Rail Runner Station each weekday at 12:12 p.m. and arrive at the Santa Fe Depot at 12:46 p.m.

To accommodate the extra service, Santa Fe Trails has added another Santa Fe pickup shuttle stop to take passengers from the depot to the Roundhouse.
