Remembering Sept. 11

Published Modified

How changed were our lives since that fateful day

Affecting us all more than words can say.

Magestic twin towers, how they did soar,

Right before our eyes — suddenly no more.

Leaving behind shattered glass and steel,

What horror and grief the survivors did feel

For lives that were lost and bodies not found,

Rescuers searched above and below ground.

So many ceremonies and souls laid to rest,

The heart of America was put to the test.

Now, one year later, we commemorate that day

With deep conviction, we can proudly say

We are brave Americans, let the whole word see

Old Glory still flies proudly over the land of the free!
