Unclaimed property at Belen Police Department
BELEN—Belen Police Chief James Harris is making a final announcement regarding unclaimed property that could potentially be held in the department’s evidence vault.
If you’ve been a victim of a property crime, and suspect the BPD might have recovered your belongings, they encourage you to visit the city of Belen’s website, belen-nm.gov. Once there, navigate to the police department page and review the property lookup section. Unclaimed property will be subject to either auction or destruction if not retrieved.
If you were arrested and your property was placed into evidence for safekeeping, you are also encouraged to claim your property.
If you are aware of anyone who has fallen victim to a property crime, the police department asks you to advise them to review the property list on the city of Belen website.
