Anthony R. Chavez, age 49, a resident of Jarales, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 1, 2024, with his wife right by his side, as always.

Since the age of 16, Anthony was a well-known mechanic in Valencia County. His dedication and love to his family was immeasurable, and he loved his grandchildren with all of his heart, where they held a special place.

Anthony’s biggest treasure was his heart. No matter who he knew or met, he always touched their hearts. He was always the person to call no matter time or day, whether it was lending a hand or rescuing you from being broke down on the side of the road.

Anthony was preceded in passing by his grandmother, Rosie; and his sister, Patricia (Booboo); as well as many other family members.

Anthony was his family’s biggest fan, and supporter, especially when it came to putting on art shows with his loving wife.

Anthony is survived by his devoted wife, Desiree; children, Andrew (Myiesha), Alicia (Nick), Joseph, and Cheyenne; his beloved grandchildren, Sophia, Frankie, Dane, Damon and Lily; his in-laws, who he thought of as parents, mother-in-law, Debra Rivera, father-in-law, Dennis Sanchez; sister, Valerie (Brian); brother-in-law, Dominic; and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Anthony’s absence will be felt in the hearts of many, but his love and legacy will forever live on.

A visitation for Anthony will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel.

Urnbearers are Anthony’s sons, Andrew and Joseph.
