Anthony Upton

1942-2023

Anthony “Tony” H. Upton, 81, of Summerville, S.C., husband of Anna Cordova Upton, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anna Upton, of Belen, currently living in Summerville, S.C.; three children: Tami Amarosa, of Atlanta, Ga., Corey Upton, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Derek Judson, of Albuquerque; six, grandchildren, two siblings, Shirlee Lee Campbell (Clarence), of Dundee, Ore., and Bill Upton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Ericka Judson; and brother, Mike Upton.

Tony was born April 1, 1942, in Fayetteville, Ark., son of the late David Lee Upton and the late Clarice Garrett Wheeler. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and owner of Tony’s Lube and Oil in Belen. He also retired from the Santa Fe Southern Railroad.

Tony enjoyed golf, fishing and classic cars. He loved playing cards into all hours of the night. He loved to eat and he loved his ice cream. He was a natural born funny man who brought so much laughter to his family and friends, and he will truly be missed.
