Beatrice “Bea” Fern Howard-Lawson

Beatrice “Bea” Fern Howard-Lawson, a resident of Belen, was born on Oct. 23, 1928, in Bowleg, Okla., to Charley Howard and Molly Finely. She peacefully passed away on Sept. 8, 2022, at home with her loving family at her bedside.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, at Terrace Grove Cemetery.

Bea loved being with her family, sewing, reading and going to the casino. She was a homemaker, babysitter and did ironing in her home.

Bea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, CB Lawson, of 64 years; parents, one sister and five brothers.

Bea is survived by her daughters, Sharon Burton, of Portland, Ore., Jane Magazu (Peter), of Fenley, Nev., Debbie Garcia (Doug), of Jarales, and Donna Schorr (Bill), of Jarales; son, Randy Lawson (Susan), of Belen; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
