Brandi Renee Weebothee

Brandi Renee Weebothee, age 41, a resident of Jarales, passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 after a long and hard fight with cancer.

Brandi will always be remembered for her strength, love, dedication, organization and quick wit.

She attended Belen High School and was a member of the Belen High School Marching Band, which were some of her favorite memories of high school. She also became a red belt in karate with her dad. She completed three years at New Mexico State University before deciding to start a family.

Brandi loved her kids more than anything; they were the most important thing in her life. Whether they were reading together, watching movies or just hanging out, the time she spent with her kids were her favorite times. She loved her two dogs, two cats and her turtle, who roamed her whole house and even learned to use the doggy door.

Some of her favorite memories were summers at the lake with her family, water skiing, playing card games and dominoes. She also loved to read, do needlepoint and go camping.

Brandi was forever grateful for the support and love she received from her railroad family, giving them a hard time and telling them “go to your room” or “watch out, you’ll get the third floor.”

Brandi was preceded in death by her father, John Cherry; and brother, Leason Cherry.

She is survived by her children, Kaydin Weebothee and Wilbur Weebothee Jr.; mother, Beth Cherry; brother, Shanon Cherry and family; boyfriend, Craig Smith; uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family members.

Services will be held Monday, Sept. 23, at New Life Fellowship Church, 1928 Fellowship Way, Belen. Church doors open at 10:30 a.m., service begins at 11 a.m., with light refreshments to follow.
