Charles Danner

1946-2024

Charles Wayne Danner, 78, a longtime resident of Belen, passed away on July 29, 2024.

He was born on June 29, 1946, in Clovis to Jewel Damon Danner and Dovie Beatrice Winfrey Danner.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita Ortiz Danner; his daughters, Nicoletta Rodman (Jeff), Jackie Hackney (Ron), Randie Montoya (Santiago) and Jamie Murillo (Roman); 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Jim Danner (Sarah).

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez on Saturday, Aug. 17, starting with a visitation at 10 a.m., a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. and graveside internment to follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen.

The family will be hosting an open house to share memories following the burial at the family home, 527 N. 12th St., Belen.
