Christopher “Chris” Rodriguez passed away on July 17, 2024. He was 62 years old, and a lifelong resident of Veguita, N.M.

He was born in 1961 to the late Cristobal and Rachel Rodriguez.

Chris served our country with pride as a member of the Army National Guard, where he served four years. He worked and retired from the New Mexico Department of Transportation, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator.

Chris loved going out to eat with family and friends. He had a unique ability to make friends and have conversations with everyone he met. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Cristobal; and his mother, Rachel.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Rodriguez and wife, Cristina; and granddaughter; his brothers, Richard Rodriguez (Sandy) and Steve Rodriguez; longtime companion, Gladys Gabaldon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Services will take place on Friday, July 26, at San Isidro Catholic Church, beginning with a visitation at 9 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at San Isidro Catholic Cemetery.
