Clarence D. Bossard Jr.

Clarence Bossard, 93, a resident of Bosque Farms for 50 years, passed away on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, in Casa Grande, Ariz., where he lived for the past two years with his wife, daughter and her family.

He was born in Saegertown, Penn. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mona Bossard, of Blooming Valley, Penn. After leaving Pennsylvania, they moved to Albuquerque, making New Mexico home for 68 years.

Clarence was a dairyman until going to work for PNM in 1973 as an equipment operator. He retired in 1992 after 19 years. He then worked several years for Mechanical Concepts, Ltd. Co. in Albuquerque as a parts runner. He was lovingly known as “grandpa” to all his co-workers over the years.

Clarence is also survived by his son, Don Bossard (Dot); two daughters, Linda Speir (Ottie), of Artesia, and Debra Taylor (Kevin), of Arizona; two sisters, Audean Bleutge and Patricia Brink; as well as nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence; mother, Arline; sister, Nancy; brother, James; and beloved son, Ron.

Clarence is to be cremated, and the family will plan a celebration of his life at a later date. His final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque.
