Diane G. Padilla

Diane G. Padilla, (lovingly known as Dinah) age 69, a resident of Los Lunas, peacefully went home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024.

Services will take place on Friday, Nov. 22, at San Clemente Catholic Church, starting with a visitation at 9 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 9:30 a.m., a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.

Dinah was a beautiful person, inside and out, and her love for God shined through as she had a kind, loving and funny spirit. In her younger years, she worked at the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School. She also worked at First Choice Community Healthcare in Los Lunas.

Diane was exceptional at caregiving for those in need in her years working professionally, yet she was also an incredible asset to her family as a caregiver for her brother and mother. She also volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul in Los Lunas in her most recent years.

Dinah most definitely was an artist, although she never claimed to be. She could draw, paint, color and simply make anything she touched beautiful. She had a knack for decorating. She loved jewelry and accessories, and was so stylish. She loved to go thrift shopping, to garage sales and she was also known to put on a good yard sale herself!

She loved to spend time with her family, and she loved her family fiercely. Her grandchildren were an absolute joy in her life and it was evident in her sparkling eyes every time she saw them. She truly was a beloved wife, mother, granny, sister, auntie and friend.

Diane is preceded in death by her father, Fred S. Gabaldon; mother, Mayme Romero Gabaldon; brothers, Donald M. and Charles T. Gabaldon; nephew, Freddie Gabaldon Jr.; niece, Erica P. Trujillo; brother-in-law, Richard Lucero; in-laws, Felipe and Omecima Padilla; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Wiggins.

Diane is survived by her a husband, David Padilla; daughter, Brianna Dupuy; son-in-law, Cory; grandchildren, Mason and Savanna Dupuy; brothers, Fred Gabaldon (Shirley), Gene Gabaldon (Adela), all of Albuquerque; sisters, Lucy Chavez (Charles), of Los Lunas, Genola Gabaldon, of Los Lunas, and Juanita Lucero, of Belen; sister-in-law, Evelyn Sanchez; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
