Dinah VanDielen Melton

1953-2024

Dinah Lou VanDielen Melton was born Dec. 30, 1953, in Mishawaka, Ind. On Friday, July 5, 2024, she passed on to be with our Lord and Savior at age 70.

Dinah was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law.

Dinah was preceded in death by her father, Buford Eldred Melton; mother, Annabel Melton; sister, Penny Jefferys; and granddaughter, Leandra Garcia.

Survivors include sister, Judy Shiers; brother, Buford Melton Jr. (Linda); sisters, Callie Pitts (Joe), Nancy Wood (Jhonny), Linds Lack (Jeff) and Jeanette Smith (Cameron); daughter, Dinah K. VanDielen; grandson, William; son, George Brian VanDielen (Christy); granddaughter, Kaylynn; grandson, Bruce; great-grandson, Legend; daughter, Christina Rains (Eric); daughter, Jennifer Walters (Arley); granddaughter, Brittney (Alejandro); great-grandsons, Liam and Owen; grandson, James (Desiree); great-grandson, Timothy; grandson, Brandon; and grandson, Jacob.

Mom always said if you had a problem, pray to God. She loved spending time with her family. She loved to paint velvet art, playing games, to go shopping and hunting and fishing.

She was very strong and never gave up. She will be greatly missed. We all love you.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Sunday, July 21, at 4 Patrick Lane, Peralta. A reception will follow immediately after the service.
