Erlinda Baldonado Garcia, age 84, a resident of Jarales, passed away on Aug. 25, 2023.

Services will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church beginning with a public viewing at 9 a.m. and Rosary at 10 a.m., with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at the Cristo Rey Catholic Cemetery in Bosque.

She is survived by her children, Magdalena Garcia, of Albuquerque, Jose “Hawaiian Joey” Garcia, of Belen, and Andre Garcia, of Albuquerque; brothers, Ruperto (Flora), Arturo (Louisa), Miguel “Mike” (Adela), George Martin “Marty” (Emily) and Felix Baldonado (Cheryl); sisters, Rosanna Cordova and Sylvia Garcia.

Erlinda is preceded in death by her parents, Remigio and Avelina Baldonado; daughter, Nichole Garcia Moreno; granddaughter, Jana Justine Garcia; brothers, Secundino, Preciliano, Arsenio, Jose Eliasim, Antonio “Tony,” David and Guadalupe Baldonado; sisters, Reina Baldonado Pino and Mary Helen Baldonado.

She was born in Jarales, and Erlinda was one of 17 children growing up as one of the middle children in a large family.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Pino, Marco Garcia, Kathryn Baldonado, Geraldine Gabaldon, Mary Agnes Authur and Lorrie Cordova.
