1950-2022
After a hard fight with pancreatic cancer, Estela G. Ortiz, daughter of Frank “Pancho” Ortiz and Isabel Sheldon, passed away on June 1, 2022, in Denver, Colo.
She was born on Jan. 13, 1950, in Granada, Colo., raised in Peralta and graduated from Los Lunas High School.
Estela was loved by many, including sons, Donald Delzer and partner, Rebecca, and Darren Delzer and wife, Nikki; grandchildren, Enrique, Rainey, teddy, Nicholas, Sussannah, Jehsi Aiden and Landen; and one great-grandchild, Sawyer; brothers, Franklin P. Ortiz and wife, Elizabeth, and Anthony Ortiz; sisters, Frances Cordova and husband, Richard, Delores S. Romero, Natty Batemen and husband, Bill, and Maria P. Hunter; and many nieces and nephews and their children.
“Yai ya,” as she was known to the children, will be missed.
