Freida Ann (Austin Wade) Boliver, 81, of Belen, passed away at home on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born on Sept. 6, 1943, in Deming, N.M., to HM Austin and JoAnn Craig, Freida was the oldest child and took great pride in helping take care of her younger siblings.
JoAnn later married Luther Wade, and the family moved around New Mexico, eventually settling in the Valencia County area.
Freida graduated from Belen High School in 1961 and, then in May of 1962, married Calvin Boliver. She became the proud loving mother of three children, Stephen, Karole and Robin. She always thought of them as her greatest accomplishment and supported them in every way.
Freida is survived by her husband of 62 years Calvin; her son, Stephen (Eileen); and daughters Karole and Robin; grandchildren, Melissa (Ian) Johnson, Kelsey (Joe) Casias, Justin, Dylan and Trey Edmonds. Anthony (Anna) Boliver, Thomas and Sarah Wyatt, Kyle (Nikala) Boliver, Tyler (Alissa) Boliver and Kaelun (Sasha) Rojo; great-grandchildren, Jak and Daxter Johnson, Ava and Aspen Boliver, Rylee and Sadie Boliver, and Ellie, Odin and Ayden Boliver; her brother, Mike (Angel) Wade; sisters, Judy (Joe) Greer, Ruth (Harry) Dempsey, Joyce (Ron) Williams, Vicki (Bob) Porter and Dianne (Otis) Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
Freida was preceded in death by her father, HM Austin; her mother, JoAnn, and her dad, Luther Wade; and two nephews, Darrell and Jeff.
Freida was laid to rest in a private ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 15, at Fence Lake, N.M. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were handled by the family with help from Noblin Funeral Home, and information on the celebration of life is available from her children.
