Herman Paul Mireles
Herman Paul Mireles
1946-2024
Herman Mireles was the blessed son of Lupe and Sophia Mireles. He was born in Albuquerque and lived all of his life in Los Lunas.
He is survived by his only sister, Precilla Rosales; nephews and nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Herman graduated from Los Lunas High School and TVI in Albuquerque, and went on to work and retire from there.
Herman was a loving and attentive uncle, brother and son, who shared his interests and hobbies with his nephews and nieces by taking those, who were able, on bike rides and teaching them to play tennis and dance. Herman loved dancing, and met many friends and dance partners in his weekly dance outings to the Caravan in Albuquerque. He also played tennis for many years at the Albuquerque Tennis Club where he cultivated many on and off court friendships.
He especially loved his family and was unconditionally supportive and generous. Some of his happiest and most treasured memories were Sandia Laboratory picnics, where his father worked, and weddings and other celebrations, where we all danced and learned from Herman — the two-step, three-step and the Cotton Eyed Joe.
He will be missed. Our family already misses him so much, and hope all of his friends accept our thanks for their contribution to his life and love he gave us all.
