Jason A. Miller, age 43, passed away peacefully at his home in Mississippi on May 20, 2024.
He was a graduate of Los Lunas High School.
Jason was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Navy as a cryptologic technician, and retired at the rank of chief petty officer. He was a jokester, goofball and someone who would bring you out of a slump. He was a true friend.
He led, mentored and guided countless sailors and friends who described him as a major influence on them and their career.
He is survived by his wife Misty E. Miller; her children, Jake and Taylor Zapa; and son, Colin (Rory) Miller. He is also loved and survived by his mother, Lisa R. Miller, and her partner, Abenicio Montoya; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael L. Miller; father, Neal F. Miller; grandparents, Melvin and Gertrude Miller and John W. and Rae F. Cherry; and aunt, Dottie L Williams.
Interment took place on Thursday, May 30, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
He will always be in our hearts and minds until we meet again.
