1931-2022

Jesse Ernest Doty, 90, a lifetime resident of New Mexico, passed away June 12, 2022, at home, peacefully surrounded by family.

Jesse was born in Bard, N.M., on Nov. 13, 1931, to Tharon and Willie Ann Doty.

He is survived by his wife of 69 1/2 years, M. Virginia Doty; his children, Virgil and wife, Loretta Doty, Ernest and wife, Lorie Doty, Virginia and husband, Randy Ferguson, Norman and wife, Gay Doty, and Carol and husband, Jeff Wells; and daughter-in-law, Gayle Doty. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and son, Jesse Leroy Doty.

Jesse was a Korean War veteran. He was a wealth of knowledge and jack of all trades. Jesse enjoyed playing music, dancing, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

A viewing will be held from 9-10:30 a.m., Monday, June 20, at Noblin Funeral Service, Belen Chapel. Services will follow at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Manual Blvd., NE, Albuquerque.
