Marcella DeHerrera

1952-2024

Marcella DeHerrera, a resident of Belen, a grandmother, a great-grandmother and sister, passed away on Aug. 16, 2024, at the age of 72, in Albuquerque. She has gone to her never-ending peace to be with our Lord.

Services will take place at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Thursday, Sept. 19, with a Rosary at 5 p.m.

Marcella is survived by her loving husband, Justin DeHerrera, who she was married to for 56 years; sons, Bruce and Andrew; and stepdaughter, Vicki Bohems; grandchildren, Angelina, Justin, Andrew Jr., Mariah, Henry, Destiny, Sean and Addison; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Santiago, Uriah and Taylor; siblings, Richard, Ramon, Rosalio (Jr.), Juan and Rita; and many nephews and nieces.

She was born April 5, 1952, to Rosalio and Paublita Silva in Albuquerque. Marcella had a contagious laughter and was loved by all. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling. Her favorite vacation destination was Hawaii, where many fond memories will be held in our hearts.

She was small in stature, but her nature was larger than life and she was generous to a fault. She had never ending patience and lived her life to the fullest. She will be missed.
