Maria De La Luz Chavez, age 91, a resident of Belen, passed peacefully on Aug. 28, 2022.
She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, Greater Belen Chamber of Commerce, Catholic Daughters and Pilot Club of Belen.
Luz is preceded in death by her father, Juan De Dios Chavez; her mother, Maria R. Chavez; and her two others, David and Joe Chavez.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Florie; her nieces, Cathy, Lori Ann, Diane and Elane; her nephews, Chris, Carl, Eric, Mike, Gerald and Russell; and her great nieces and nephews.
