1980-2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael “Mike” Mead, announce his passing on Nov. 26, 2024.

He was a resident of Belen, and had recently achieved his dream of being a successful business owner. He established M3 Mead Enterprises with his wide range of knowledge, hard work and determination.

Mike completed 20 years of service as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, along with two tours to Afghanistan and the UAE. Through all of his professional achievements, Mike was a dedicated father and friend, who was always there when needed.

He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, who enjoyed sharing his love for nature with his family and friends. Mike was a coach and mentor to many youth in shooting sports and a teacher for anyone eager to learn.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jo Anne Mead; and their four children, Dominic, Paul, Madison and Mackenzie; mother, Sandra McBride; and brother, Mathew Mead.

His infectious laugh left an indelible mark on the lives of many. Mike’s generosity, kindness and unwavering dependability touched countless lives. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend.

Mike’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
