Adolfo “Hitler” Chavez
1954-2025
Adolfo “Hitler” Chavez, age 71, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Jan 12, 2025.
Services took place at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025.
He is survived by his father, Trinidad Chavez; his loving children, Joseph Chavez, Daniel Chavez andwife, Amanda, and Valerie Linton andhusband, Jordan; granddaughters, Scarlett, Emma and Abigail Chavez; grandson, Logan Linton; sisters, Annie Lucero and Dorothy Dominguez; brother, Greg Chavez; mother-in-law, Aurora Somera; sisters-in-law, Patsy Torres andhusband, Daniel “Hippie,” Dora Armijo andhusband, Michael, and Lorie Vigil; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and many family and friends.
Adolfo is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Chavez; mother, Angelina Gonzales Chavez; daughter, Angela Chavez; brother, Marty Chavez; and father-in-law, Agustin Somera.
He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers were Dennis Torres, Steven Somera, Jordan Linton and Tommy Gurule. Honorary pallbearers, Scarlett, Emma and Abigail Chavez, Logan Linton and Daniel “Hippie” Torres.

Christopher “Chris” Gallegos
Died 2025
Christopher “Chris” Gallegos, age 44, a resident of Belen, passed away on Jan. 26, 2025.
Chris was a proud husband, father, son, brother, family man and business owner. Although he was constantly hustling to provide for his family, he was most often seen at sporting functions, not only as a very proud father but as a proud sports sponsor and supporter.
Chris was never a stranger for long; he quickly made and became a friend to all he’d meet. He was also most known for his big strong stature and his even bigger and most kind heart; he would give his last dollar so that another would not go without.
He was a volunteer for several entities, such as city of Belen Fire Department, city of Belen Clean Up, city of Belen Veterans Memorial and a member of Quad Locos Racing.
In his lifetime, countless memories and friendships were made with Chris. As the cherished friendships with him can be endless let your everlasting memories with him be endless so his presence will live with us for an eternity. Chris will forever be missed.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert Moya and Phil and Mary Gallegos.
He is survived by his wife, Savannah; children, Davrye, Frank, Cierra, Christopher, Shyla, Evani and Kaylee; parents, Wayne and Mary Jane; sister, April (Scott); nana, Flora; niece, Taylor Nichole Julian; in-laws, George and Joann Bernal and George Jr., Joell (Jorge); nieces Aubrie; and nephew, Santiago.
All services will be held on Friday, Feb. 7, at Calvary Chapel of the Rio Grande Valley, beginning with a viewing at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Gallegos, Frank Rocha, Robert Trujillo, JJ Contreras, James Williams, Joseph Gallegos, George Bernal Jr. and Daniel Chavira. Honorary pallbearers will be Dominic Gallegos, Pat Gallegos, Malachi Vigil, Danny Brooks, Johnny Bernal and Jorge Monge.

Robert A. Kaiser Sr.
Died 2024
Robert A. Kaiser Sr., aged 90, passed away peacefully in Los Lunas, on Dec. 30, 2024.
A native of Long Beach, Calif., Bob graduated from Campbell High School in 1954. Bob spent his working career at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale, Calif. He served for many years in the National Guard Reserves.
After retirement, Bob relocated to New Mexico. There, he enjoyed a life filled with working in his woodshop, hunting, fishing and camping. He participated in the Masonic Lodges for more than 67 years, being a member of both the Bethlehem Lodge No. 56 in Belen, and Socorro Lodge No. 9 in Socorro. Bob was a member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
He was a huge advocate of anything Mopar, once owning both 1934 and 1949 Plymouths. He was also a loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Raymond; and his stepdaughter, Barbara.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Teena; his son, Robert A. Kaiser Jr.; his stepsons, Scott and Steve Williams; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to Laura Cliff, who has been Bob and Teena’s caregiver for several years.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Belen Masonic Lodge, 607 Goebel Ave, Belen.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the NM Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Paws and Stripes Project, where the funding provides veterans with service dogs.

Sandra Lee King
1943-2025
Sandra Lee King, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Jan. 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Sandra was born to George Garner Reser and Lillian Margaret Case on May 7, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Roy King; her children, Jeff King and Robin King; her grandsons, John Potts and Kevin King Jr., and her sister, Addie Bond.
She is survived by her children, Cathy Godfrey and Kevin King, and her grandchildren, Teresa Potts, Kassie Potts, Harlee Holloway, Jeremiah King, BreAnn King Chapin, Stewart Wilson and Daniel Wilson. She is also survived by her brother, John Stullenberger; along with his sons, John and Timmy; her foster sisters, Lillie and Sandra, and her great-grandchildren, who were so very special to her. A special mention goes to her dear sister-in-law, Judy Foust, and her family, who stood by her and Roy’s side, as well as to Michael Potts, who was always there for them both.
A devoted Sunday school teacher for many years, Sandra’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She found immense joy and support in her church family, who surrounded her with love throughout the years. She was not only a mother and grandmother to her own family but also a guiding figure to countless children in town, including her children’s friends, who always found warmth and wisdom in her presence.
Sandra had a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace in her garden and the simple beauty of nature. She was also an avid reader, finding comfort and adventure within the pages of her favorite books. Her hands were rarely still — always crafting, creating, and sharing her work with those she loved. If you knew Sandra, you likely have one of her cherished handmade gifts, each a token of her generosity and care.
Above all, Sandra lived a life of selflessness, always placing the needs of others ahead of her own. Her kindness, creativity and unwavering love will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A service to honor and celebrate Sandra’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on March 1, 2025, at Westside Family Chapel, 630 Taylor Road NE, Los Lunas. Light lunch and refreshments will follow.
Frances Abeyta Morgas
Died 2025
Frances Abeyta Morgas, 73, a resident of Albuquerque, went to her heavenly home on Jan. 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her son, Jude Morgas; husband, Vidal Morgas; granddaughters, Analysia and Evelyn Morgas; her mother, Lillian Abeyta; brothers and sister, Ricky Abeyta, Dolores Garcia, Charles Abeyta and Seferino Abeyta; her nieces and nephews Ricky James, Germaine, Erica (Brian), Dominic (Janelle), Trysten, Serena and Sophia; her 13 great nieces and nephews who many affectionately called her “Auntie Princess,” seven great-great nieces and nephews, one whom she proudly shared a birthday with, Reyna Flores. She also leaves behind many cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Ramon Abeyta; brother, Seferino Abeyta; her father- and mother-in-law, Jose and Sara Morgas, as well as her grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Frances dedicated nearly 30 years of her life to teaching at Albuquerque Public Schools and Christine Duncan Charter School. She just wasn’t an educator, she was a mentor, role model and a source of encouragement for the many students who passed through her classroom.
Frances was a pillar of strength and a woman of unwavering faith. She was a member of both Holy Family Church in Albuquerque and Our Lady of Sorrows in La Joya. She was a member of the Sacred Heart League at Holy Family where she served as president for 10-plus years of the Sacred Heart League. She was a team leader of the Emmaus Group for many years.
She taught catechism at Holy Family during the years her granddaughters Analysia and Evelyn attended catechism. She volunteered for many years at the church fiestas and Sacred Heart Annual Linen Bingo and Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. Her Catholic faith was very important to her.
Frances had a natural ability to make people feel loved and cherished. She possessed an infectious sense of humor, unwavering optimism, and a heart that knew no bounds when it came to caring for others. Whether she was having a heartfelt conversation, telling a funny story or offering words of encouragement, Frances had a way of making those around her feel special.
She was a woman who truly lived — laughing often, loving deeply and spreading kindness wherever she went. Her vivacious personality, quick wit and sense of humor brought light to everyone around her. She was full of life and made everyone feel at home in her presence. She was everyone’s safe place. She could be in pain, but never failed to make you smile. She will be forever loved and missed.
Services will be held at Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Albuquerque, with a rosary at 10 a.m. and funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
